BERG Favorit vs Champion vs Elite

This shop is organised by age, garden and budget, so you can get a long way without meeting BERG's range names. They turn up at the end, when the same size and shape of trampoline appears two or three times at different prices. This page is where we explain them, once.

In short: Favorit is the entry range, Champion changes the springs, mat, edge and most of the warranty, and Elite is a Champion on a heavier frame with longer cover on the protective edge.

Parts and warranty periods are BERG's, for domestic use. We hold no measurement for the Elite's heavier tubing, so none is printed. What the warranty leaves out is in the warranty guide.

The lines each range is made in

A "line" is one range in one shape and one type, and each has a single page here with a size switcher. BERG's names tell you the shape: Grand is oval, Ultim is rectangular, and no shape word means round. Regular means on legs.

What a step up costs, size for size

Starting prices mislead, because each range starts at a different size. So we matched trampolines that are identical in type, shape, size and net, and found 12 that exist in all three ranges. Across those, Champion costs €210 to €520 more than Favorit, and Elite costs €330 to €430 more than Champion. Every price opens that trampoline's page.

    Sizes with no Favorit version

FlatGround is not made as a Favorit, and we hold the Favorit rectangles by length only, so they are not matched here. At these sizes, the comparison is Champion against Elite.

    Who each range suits

    Favorit suits

A tight budget, a compact garden, or a child's first few years of jumping. It is the range of our smallest round trampoline, the 6.5ft (200cm), and it starts at €339.

You accept shorter cover in return: 5 years on the frame, 8 when registered, and 2 on the springs. There is no Favorit FlatGround.

    Champion suits

A trampoline you expect to keep through primary school and beyond. The springs change to TwinSpring, the mat to AirFlow Pro, the edge to 30mm thick, 38cm wide, and the frame cover goes to 10 years, 13 when registered.

It also has the longest list: 35 trampolines across 8 lines, on legs, InGround and FlatGround.

    Elite suits

Someone who has already decided on Champion's parts and wants the heavier frame tubing with them. BERG also covers the Elite's protective edge for 5 years, where a Champion's is covered for 2.

The springs, the mat and the edge itself match the Champion. Elite is the shortest list of the three, 19 trampolines, so check your size is made.

    And Pro Bouncer

BERG's fourth range sits outside the tables because it is made at 16ft only. It has TwinSpring Pro springs, a protective edge 60mm thick, 49cm wide, and BERG gives it a maximum user weight of 120 kg. We list 8 from €2,829: Ultim Pro Bouncer FlatGround and Ultim Pro Bouncer Regular.

Range is the last thing to settle. If you have not yet measured, start with the size guide, or follow the buying guide from the top. If you are stuck between two ranges, a free garden consultation will get you a straight opinion.

    Questions people ask

Which is the entry BERG range?+

Favorit. It has SoloSpring springs, the AirFlow mat and a protective edge 20mm thick, 38cm wide, with 5 years on the frame, 8 when registered with BERG. Our Favorit prices run from €339 to €1,139.

What do I get by moving from Favorit to Champion?+

TwinSpring springs in place of SoloSpring, the AirFlow Pro mat, a protective edge 30mm thick, 38cm wide, 10 years on the frame (13 when registered) and 5 years on the springs. At the sizes sold in all three ranges that costs €210 to €520 more.

Is Elite worth the extra over Champion?+

That is yours to judge, and the facts are short. Elite has heavier frame tubing and 5 years of cover on the protective edge. Everything you jump on is the same as a Champion. At shared sizes an Elite costs €330 to €430 more than the Champion.

What does a 11ft round trampoline cost in each range?+

On legs with a safety net, the 11ft (330cm) round is €659 as a Favorit, €1,119 as a Champion and €1,449 as an Elite.

Can I get a Favorit that sits flat in the lawn?+

No. FlatGround is made in Champion and Elite, from €699 and €1,349, and in Pro Bouncer. A Favorit can be bought as an InGround, which shows a low raised edge, from €339.

Is the warranty different for round, oval and rectangular models?+

No. BERG sets its warranty by range. Every shape and type within a range carries the same periods, and registering with BERG adds 3 years to the frame in each.

    Where does Pro Bouncer fit?+

Above all three, and only at 16ft: rectangular or square, FlatGround or on legs, from €2,829. It has TwinSpring Pro springs and BERG rates it for a user of up to 120 kg.
