BERG trampoline warranty: what is covered, part by part
People come to this page at three moments: while choosing, on the day the boxes arrive, and when something has gone wrong. It is laid out in that order. The warranty is BERG's, as manufacturer. We are the dealer, and what follows is our reading of BERG's manuals and of BERG's warranty and parts page in October 2026. BERG's current terms are the ones that count.
While choosingWhen it arrivesWhat is outside the coverIf something goes wrong
While choosing: the cover on each range
BERG sets a separate period for each part of a trampoline, and the periods depend on the range. Shape and type make no difference: a round, oval or rectangular model, on legs or in the lawn, carries its range's figures.

8 trampolines in our shop
| Part | Favorit | Champion | Elite | Pro Bouncer |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Frame | 5 years | 10 years | 10 years | 10 years |
| Frame, when registered with BERG | 8 years | 13 years | 13 years | 13 years |
| Springs | 2 years | 5 years | 5 years | Ask us |
| Jumping mat | 2 years | 2 years | 2 years | Ask us |
| Protective edge | 2 years | 2 years | 5 years | Ask us |
| Safety net | 2 years | 2 years | 2 years | Ask us |
Three things stand out. The frame and springs are where Favorit and Champion part ways: 5 years against 10 on the frame, 2 against 5 on the springs. Elite adds to Champion on one line only, the protective edge, at 5 years in place of 2. And the mat and net are 2 years on every range we hold figures for, so a dearer range does not buy longer cover on those.
For Pro Bouncer we have the frame figure only. Sooner than guess the rest, we will ask BERG for you: ring 01 960 1641.
The ranges themselves are compared in Favorit vs Champion vs Elite, and each trampoline's page repeats its own warranty.
When it arrives: register it
Registering with BERG is what turns 10 years on the frame into 13, or 5 into 8 on a Favorit. It adds 3 years to the frame. The other parts keep the periods in the table.
- Keep your order confirmation. It is your proof of purchase, and BERG's warranty depends on it.
- Before the packaging goes to recycling, note the product name or article number and the batch number.
- Register on BERG's website with those details.
BERG's manual tells owners to register "immediately". We know of no published cut-off date, so register it as soon as it arrives. If you never register, the standard warranty still stands.
What the cover is, and what sits outside it
The warranty is for faults in materials and manufacture, on a trampoline in domestic use. If BERG finds such a fault inside the period, BERG repairs or replaces the part. It is cover for how the trampoline was made, and it stops short of weather, wear and misuse.
Never covered
- Parts that wear with use. BERG's example is elastics.
- What the weather does: rust and fading are the two BERG names.
- UV damage.
- Ordinary wear and tear.
- The foam sleeves on the safety net poles.
Things that end the cover
- Using the trampoline improperly or carelessly.
- Putting it together, or looking after it, in a way the manual does not describe.
- A technical repair that was not done professionally.
- Spare parts that do not meet the product's specification, or that were fitted wrongly.
- Burying an in-ground trampoline improperly.
- Hiring it out, or making it available to third parties.
Both lists are from BERG's manual, in our words. The second is the one an owner controls. Build it by the manual, do the checks in the care guide, and use genuine BERG parts, which we keep.
Nets and accessories. BERG gives safety nets and accessories 2 years. Its Basic weather cover has 1.
Family gardens only. BERG's manual describes these trampolines as suitable for domestic use. For a school, creche or other public setting see our schools site.
If something goes wrong
Stop using the trampoline, then contact the BERG dealer that sold it. If you ordered on TrampolinesIreland.com, email trampolines@esi-ltd.ie or ring 01 960 1641, Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm. Send:
- Your original proof of purchase
- The product name and the date you bought it
- The serial or batch number
- A few lines on what has gone wrong
- Clear photos of the fault
We put the claim to BERG and BERG makes the decision. Its manual says that where a claim is not honoured, any costs incurred are the owner's. If the part turns out to be outside the warranty, we can usually supply a genuine BERG replacement.
That is separate from our own terms as the seller: 14 days to return an order, and we pay the return of anything that arrives faulty, damaged or wrong.
Warranty years and lifespan are different things
The years in the table say how long BERG answers for defects in a part. They do not predict how long your trampoline will be in the garden. On that question BERG's own page says a trampoline that is properly cared for "can last up to 10 years", and lists three things that shorten its life: UV radiation, salty humid air and fertiliser.
Questions people ask
What is the warranty on a BERG Favorit trampoline?+
BERG covers a Favorit frame for 5 years, or 8 when registered with BERG. The springs, jumping mat, protective edge and safety net are each covered for 2 years.
What is the warranty on a BERG Champion or Elite?+
Both have 10 years on the frame, 13 when registered with BERG, and 5 years on the springs. The jumping mat and safety net are covered for 2 years. They differ on the protective edge: 2 years for Champion, 5 years for Elite.
How do I get the extra years on the frame?+
Register the trampoline on BERG's website. That adds 3 years to the frame warranty and nothing else changes. You need your proof of purchase and the product and batch details. BERG's manual says to do it immediately, so register it as soon as it arrives.
Am I covered if I forget to register?+
Yes. BERG's standard warranty applies from the day you buy, registered or not. Registration only lengthens the cover on the frame.
Is rust covered?+
No. BERG's manual puts the influences of weather outside the warranty and gives rust and discolouration as its examples. UV and normal wear and tear are excluded as well.
Who do I contact about a fault?+
The BERG dealer you bought from. For orders placed on TrampolinesIreland.com that is us: ring or email with your proof of purchase, the batch number and photos, and we take the claim to BERG.
Does the warranty pass to a new owner?+
No. BERG's manual says the warranty is not transferable to third parties, and only the owner holding the original receipt can claim.
Want the warranty confirmed before you buy?
Tell us which trampoline you are considering. We will set out what BERG covers on it and for how long, and ask BERG about anything we cannot answer ourselves.
